What Is B Corp Certification?

B Corp certification is awarded to businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Established by B Lab, a nonprofit organization, the certification process involves a rigorous assessment of a company's practices and impact.

The certification process includes a detailed evaluation of a company's operations, covering areas such as environmental  practices, employee treatment, and community involvement. To become certified, a company must score a minimum number of points on the B Impact Assessment, demonstrate accountability and transparency, and commit to the B Corp Declaration of Interdependence.

The Certification Journey

Achieving B Corp certification was no small feat. We embarked on this journey with a clear goal: to enhance our practices and make a meaningful difference. The process involved a thorough assessment of our policies, practices, and impact. 

Along the way, we encountered challenges, from refining our sustainability practices to enhancing transparency. However, these obstacles were valuable learning experiences that helped us grow stronger as a company. Key milestones included revising our environmental  policies and strengthening  our community engagement initiatives.

Our B Impact Score of 90.3 reflects our comprehensive commitment across various categories:

• Governance: Our total score was 21.6.
• Workers: We achieved a total score of 34.7.
• Community: Our total score was 25.9.
• Environment: We earned a score of 6.5.
• Customers: We received a score of 1.4.

Our score exceeds the minimum requirement for B Corp Certification, which is 80, and far surpasses the median score for ordinary businesses, which is 50.9.
